Master of Science(MS) Bioengineering

The M.S. Bioengineering program is under the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology(SCTIMST), Trivandrum. The aim of the M.S. Bioengineering is to train engineering graduates to work in a medical institution to carry out research and development that will directly lead to improved healthcare in India.The M.S. Bioengineering is a specialized engineering program, with emphasis on research. Students will spend the first year taking courses, followed by a year of research project. Students will interact closely with at least one of the clinical or basic science departments in CMC Vellore to formulate a research question, which will be pursed for their M.S. thesis. Career prospects following the completion of the M.S. programme include academic research and teaching as well as R&D in the medical devices industry.​
